Abstract The planning and implementation of Project 2001-2010 at the State Library of New South Wales is an example which shows the influence of story telling on organisational development. Telling stories is one way of harnessing an organisation's knowledge. By encouraging the organisation to review, evaluate and develop these stories it is able to test and explore new services and methods of operation.
