CAUL achievement award
CAUL recognises staff of a member library, an individual or team leader, who makes an outstanding contribution to the achievement of the CAUL strategic agenda. http://www.caul.edu.au/caul-doc/StrategicPlan.html
The award recognises significant progress in one or more of the following CAUL goals:
- Information Resources & Services
Goal: Maximisation of Access to the Information Resources & Services Required for the Advancement of Teaching, Learning and Research in Australian Universities.
- Scholarly Communication
Goal: Transformation of the Current System of Scholarly Communication
- Best Practice
Goal: The pursuit of world class performance within Australian university libraries through application of the principles of continuous improvement, quality and business excellence.
- Advocacy, Marketing, Communication
Goal: Identification and exploitation of all opportunities for CAUL to promote and raise awareness of the role of university libraries in improving the quality of higher education, research and the national information infrastructure.
The recipient of the Award will be recognised at a meeting of CAUL where they may be invited to make a presentation on their contribution to the CAUL Strategic Agenda. At the meeting the recipient will be presented with a cheque for $5 000.
Individuals may nominate themselves or others. Nominations should include a brief (no more than one A4 page) outline of the work that has been undertaken and a letter from the University Librarian supporting the nomination. Nominations may be submitted any time.
Nominations should be e-mailed to the CAUL office and will be assessed by the CAUL Executive Committee at their final meeting for the year. A schedule of meeting dates is posted on the CAUL website.
