PM launches National Library of Australia exhibition

Canberra, 5 February, 2016: More than 500 guests attended the opening of the Celestial Empire exhibition at the National Library of Australia this evening. Hosted by Ryan Stokes, Chair of the National Library of Australia Council, and Anne-Marie Schwirtlich, Director-General, the event saw the largest audience ever gathered at the National Library for this kind of event.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was guest of honour, with VIPs including Arts Minister Mitch Fifield, ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr, Ambassador Ma Zhaoxu and representatives from the National Library of China.
