Allied Field Membership
Member categories and eligibility requirements for professional members include, the Australian Society of Archivists,
Australian Computer Society and the Records Management of Australia. To be eligible for professional membership of ALIA through an allied field requires a completed undergraduate
qualification equivalent to at least an Australian Bachelor's degree or a postgraduate qualification equivalent to at least a Graduate Diploma in an allied field.
Holders of a postgraduate qualification must also hold either an undergraduate level course or its equivalent in another discipline that has been accepted by the
tertiary institution conducting the aforementioned course as meeting the prescribed entry requirements for the course. More detail regarding allied membership can
