ALIA members-only pages

In addition to the broad range of material found in the public area of ALIA's website, there is an extensive range of members-only () information and services. We are continuously developing new services and benefits for members of ALIA - here is a short summary of what is available.

Note about members-only log in: To access any part of the members-onlysections of the website, you'll need your 6-digit ALIA membership number and a password. If you have forgotten, or don't know, your password please follow the 'forgotten your password?' links when you login to have your password e-mailed to you, or phone the membership team on 1800 020 071. New members will receive their membership number and password with their membership confirmation. You can change your password at any time by going to 'Change Password'.

Check your membership details		Both personal and institutional members are able to access and update their own details held in the ALIA membership database.
Change Password		Both personal and institutional members are able to change their website access password.
Online renewal payment		Both personal and institutional members are now able to make online payments for their membership renewal (and subscriptions). NEW members, or those who wish to modify their payment should contact ALIA National Office on 1800 020 071.
Upgrade your membership		You're currently a member and you've just graduated or completed your course. Please download the upgrade form [64kb pdf] and send it to us along with a copy of your qualification or a transcript of your course if your qualification has yet to be conferred. A one off administration fee also applies.
Access LIS online resources		Access over 130 online LIS journals provided by ProQuest and available to ALIA personal and institutional members.
PD Postings		PD Postings is a monthly e-newsletter which provides members with a monthly selection of professional development opportunities across a wide variety of skills, issues and subjects of interest to the industry.
LIS Management in Focus		LIS Management in Focus regularly updates members with the management products and services available to assist them, across areas of leadership, project management, industrial relations, copyright, human resource development and other topics of interest to LIS managers.
ALIA groups pages		ALIA groups are formed by members, for members. They have either a particular sectoral or regional focus, and are free to join as an ALIA member.
Employment pages		Enhanced access to a range of employment and career information, from recruitment advice to workplace issues and rights.
Research resources		Articles, how-to's and other guides, designed to assist members in establishing and running research programs.
Education and professional development		Education and professional development resources and training opportunities, all created to keep ALIA members ahead of the pack.
Career development kit		The kit is designed to enable you to analyse your skills and highlight areas that you need to work on to develop existing skills and acquire new ones. The kit will also help you plan your PD activities.
PD scheme		How to join the scheme, find out about PD resources and opportunities for ALIA members.
Office-bearer access		Office-bearers of ALIA groups have direct access to their group membership list details and the ability to use this information to keep in touch with the group members. Office-bearers also have access to the ALIA office-bearers' guide.
ALIA silver pin		Members of ALIA who have been office-bearers for more than five terms (five years, not necessarily continuous) may apply for (or be nominated to receive) an ALIA silver pin - and letter of recognition. The applicant must be either a personal financial member or a representative member of a financial institutional member of the Association.
Special offers		From time to time, ALIA members are also offered exclusive discounts and deals on a range of products and services including member rates at partner association conferences, seminars and training programs.
