11 February 2013 Delegates and international speakers welcomed to ALIA Information Online 2013February, 2013: The Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) will welcome over 800 delegates, speakers, exhibitors and leaders from the library world to the ALIA Information Online 2013 conference this week. The conference is being held between 12 and 15 February at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and will bring together library and information professionals from around Australia and the world. The opening address by IFLA President Ingrid Parent will be followed by keynote presentations from exciting and innovative international speakers in the world of television, publishing, design, innovation and technology. Highlights will include Sue Gardner, Executive Director of Wikimedia, Charles Leadbeater, author and leader in the field of innovation strategy and education; author John Birmingham; Anna Troberg, leader of the Swedish Pirate Party; Sarah Drummond, founder and Director at Snook and Dick Rijken, director of Steim speaking about change, technology, innovation, service design and the future of library and information services in the online environment.
