Meeting minutes

Committee meeting held on Monday 16 September 2005 at 6:00pm at Universal Wine Bar, 285 Rundle St, Adelaide.

1. Present

Andrew Meier, Rachel Teesdale-Smith, Tanya Hook, Hayley Gamble, Silvia Muscardin, Caryl Armstrong, Blan MacDonagh.

3. Minutes of previous meeting

Accepted.

4. Business arising

State records tour - successful tour and attendance (exhibition, talk and web site demo). Congrats to Benjamin and Catherine for organising.

2005 program review: four events (Steve Hillier seminar; ISLD treasures of special libraries; moving libraries panel, state records tour) - good balance, allocation of each event to small group worked well.

ALIASA Regional Conference: deferred till March 2006.

5. Correspondence

E-mail from Georgina Dale about national office proposal for national Specials symposium in Melbourne.

Reply from Rachel and Caryl (on behalf of Specials and Health SA libraries).

6. Reports

6.1. Treasurer Tanya to claim from ALIA for gift items for speakers.

6.2. NAC Silvia, Hayley and Blan reported on 14 September meeting with board member, Carol Newton Smith. Kate Sinclair elected SA rep.

6.3. ALIA SA Rep report Silvia reported.

7. New business

Christmas function - Andrew to attend meeting Tuesday.
