ALIA confirmed receiving Andrew's article, re: Spec SA virtual meetings. The article is scheduled to appear in the January-February issue of InCite. (Article is in InCite vol. 26 Jan-Feb 2005, p. 44.)

8.1 Committee meetings

Day, time, location and format.
Face-to-face meetings: Thursday 8:10am suits everybody.
Virtual meetings: to be held occasionally. Time to be discussed.

8.2. ALIA education statement review

Stage 2.
Silvia to forward (e-mail) Rachel correspondence and Spec SA participation in stage 1.
Our group should focus on redefining its core business.

9.1 Meetings

Informal.
Start discussion by e-mail and convene to finalise issues.

9.2 Recruiting committee members

Advertise on e-lists: Benjamin: Govt. libraries, SALIN, New Graduate group. Stress this is a CPD recognised activity.
Can non-ALIA members be on the committee? Eg. Non-librarian information professionals. Rachel to e-mail list to start discussion.

9.3 2005 events

Start getting ideas.

9.4 Library tours

Can be extended to information centres, museums, archives.
