ALIA Quorum

Mentoring program

The ALIA Quorum mentoring program aims to provide a facilitated mentoring program to meet the development needs of Queensland library professionals at various levels.

There are two ALIA mentoring programs in Queensland: The professional program and the ALIA/QUT student mentoring program.

The professional program

The ALIA Queensland professional mentoring program has been running successfully since 1995. Applications being sought from mentors and mentees at the beginning of each year. Queries about the 2006 mentoring program can be directed to Helen Hobbs or Merrindi Derick (please remove '.nospam' from addresses).

ALIA/QUT student mentoring program

A student mentoring program is run as a partnership between ALIA Quorum and QUT Careers & Employment Office, open to students enrolled in the library and information management program. Queries about the student mentoring program can be directed to Gillian Hallam or Sarah Vizer (please remove '.nospam' from addresses).

Closing date for applications for the 2006 program

Please ensure your application as mentor or mentee is submitted by Monday 7 March 2006. The introduction to mentoring workshop will be held on Saturday 1 April 2006. All participants will receive full details of the event.
