Meeting minutes 14 January 2003

- President's report
Jenny advised that she had nothing to report. She will find out and advise new dates of ALIA SA meetings.

- Treasurer's report
Julie advised that there has been no activity in the account - $2000+ in credit. Invoices for Display Workshop have been sent. Reported that there are some difficulties in operating under the ALIA accounting system. Will bring list of issues to next meeting for presentation to ALIA SA.

- Display Workshop review
Gaye provided summary of feedback (attached). Concerns mostly that although presenter knew the subject and that the hands-on side was good, he was not a confident speaker which impacted on the quality of the presentation. Committee members to follow up other leads for future workshops. Shane - John Stanley; Jenny - Fiona Lange, Sanity, shopfitter; Renya - TAFE

- ALIA strategic plan
Committee members have received copies of the ALIA strategic plan draft for response. Marion will e-mail committee members with a starting point for suggested modifications. Gaye will edit this into a formal response document.

Gaye showed committee flyer for promotion and advised that she had been trying to contact Shane to confirm details. Will follow up.

- 5.2 Trade Fair
Jenny advised that Trade Fair is in planning with PCS and EIC for November 2003. Venue to be advised. Will keep committee updated. Action: Jenny
- 5.3 Marketing Best Practice

Gaye advised that there has been some response to e-list but most members have not subscribed. Will send these minutes on e-list but advise by e-mail that this has been done.

Next Meeting: To be held on Tuesday 11 February, 2003 at Thebarton Library, 166 South Road (cnr Henley Beach Road - parking at rear, enter from Danby Street), Torrensville at 6:00pm for 6:15pm.
