Business arising from previous minutes:

  • Information Enterprises support for mentoring group - they gave a speaker and offered the use of a room in Fremantle if we ever needed one.
  • Still no final figure on the profit from South West Forum.
  • Invoice for Susan Fordham's Internet Workshop has been paid.
  • Budget for the 2003 program was sent to national office in December.

Correspondence in/out:

List of new members from ALIA: Claire e-mailed new members, welcoming them to the group and added their e-mail addresses to members e-mail list.

An e-mail response from Georgina Dale regarding our request that a small portion of the profit from the SW Forum be allocated to topping up the conference grant for 2003.

National Office offered to administer the grant money for us instead. There would however be changes to the way the grant money could be spent. This was discussed and the decision was made to keep administering the grant from Western Australia, because this ensured the greater benefit to WA Library Technicians. Judy will respond to Georgina.
