8.1 Group Mentoring
Internet workshop presented by Lothar Retzlaff is being organised by Sue Fordham (mentoree) on 21 May at TAFE. There is high Interest in attending.
A previous function in July was cancelled unfortunately but it is hoped Wendy will be able to present her program again at a later date.
Contact with potential mentorees for 2003 will be happening in October 2002 so the program will continue next year.
8.2 South-West Forum:
Preparations are continuing on track for 14-15 September. Registrations will be taken after 23 August (as soon as possible is preferred please).
Interest has been good and it should be a great weekend. We have secured some sponsorship from Raeco International and Iluka Resources have responded favourably to becoming involved.
8.3 National Library Technicians:
Lothar reported that Edith Cowan University has taken over sponsorship of the Library Technician of the Year Award. There will be some changes in the way the winner is selected but it is all good news for WA.
- New business:
9.1 2002-03 convenor, WALTG. Nominations were again called at this meeting and Judy Smith has offered to take on the position. There was no dissension and Judy was warmly welcomed as convenor by the group. Judy will call for a handover meeting of the previous committee when convenient and start planning for 2003's activities.
