Victorian ALIA Library TechniciansMornington Mobile Library24 February 2006 visit A great day was had by the Vic Lib Tech group who visited the Mornington Mobile Library. Mornington Library staff members Matt and Susan were able to provide us with lots of interesting information regarding the work of the book mobile. We heard about their floating stock, the Mornington Library network, the satellite communications, and the bus itself. A delicious lunch followed at Heritage 3059 restaurant with good company and great surroundings. And no! we didn't beat the torrential downpour and we crawled home along Nepean Highway in the storm. Thanks to Mary Wyte for helping to organise another brilliant visit to one of the Mornington branches. Thanks to Mary Hollingworth for setting up the tour, plus Matt and Susan for showing us around on the day. Kerrie Kelly
