16 February 2005 Copyright Seminar presented at University of Queensland by Tom Joyce.
12 March 2005 Reference Workshop (Asking the Right Questions) facilitated by Angela Vilkins.

Networking and social:
20 August 2005 General meeting and tour - Australian Catholic University, Banyo Library.
29 October 2005 General meeting and tour - Gold Coast City Council Library Service, Robina Branch Library.
26 November 2005 Christmas Lunch at Ship Inn, Southbank Parklands.

Membership recruitment:
Visit to Southbank Institute of TAFE by committee members to address both day and evening library technician students on the benefits of joining ALIA

Other:
24 May 2005 Annual Library Technicians Dinner at Skyline Restaurant,COTAH, and presentation of the Qld Library Technician Student of the Year award to Margaret Mowberry (DrugArm).

Group communications

The group committee tried to keep its members informed by sending the minutes of meetings held to the e-list. Also, the group's activities were posted on the ALIA pages as appropriate.
