Meeting 29 October

Meeting held on Saturday 29 October 2005 Robina Branch Library, Gold Coast.

1. Meeting opened at 12:05pm

4. Minutes of the previous committee meeting

Trish moved, Jo seconded.

5. Business Arising

Petty Cash Float - Jo has emailed Geogina Dale (ALIA NO) to chase this up.
Annual Budget/Events List - Jo forwarded to ALIA with a slight change. Jo gave Sharon a copy for the records.
Reports - Trish was told that Jennifer Parker (outgoing Convenor) has to complete the 6mth and annual report and Trish will do next years.
Events in InCite - Sharon has successfully posted today's event on the ALIA site but missed the InCite deadline.

Conference Feedback
Trish, Rowena, Peta and Sharon each gave feedback from the ALIA Library and Information Technicians Conference: neXt held in Sydney in September 2005. Papers are now available online via the ALIA e-prints site:

Trish gave a quick reminder about the Qld LT of the Year (Recent Graduate) award for all to get nominations in.

National Advisory Congress
Trish gave the group a quick overview of what the NAC is about and why it is important for all to attend the upcoming regional meeting.

It was decided that this year a Christmas Lunch will be held on Saturday 26th November at the Ship Inn SouthBank - Trish to investigate suggested venue.
