   Marian read the minutes of the previous meeting which were accepted and seconded.

8. Treasurer's report
   Jennifer Parker reported that the balance of the account held by ALIA plus our petty cash account totals $264.54. This old account No 79 will be closed by ALIA and transferred to our new account in due course.
   
   Account No 64 (new account) totals $480.00 - comprising raffle proceeds $430.00. and donation from Queensland Library Supplies $50.00.

10. Feedback from Hobart conference.
    Marion Moyle - National AGM and overall conference report
    Marion presented a report on her involvement in the National Policy Group and AGM; and descriptions of some of the papers. These will not be published but will be available at the conference site.
    Marion and Yvonne chaired two meetings. They also mentioned that four out of 30 presenters were from Queensland. A focus session was held - keynote speakers gave a synopsis of the conference.
    
    Kerry Warman - The experience of preparing and presenting a conference paper
    Kerry gave outline of her paper on 'library technicianship', including some background info on her personal quest to write a paper. She also described the various types of papers and workshops, including poster presentations (only 15 minutes and in informal groups, against 30 minutes for most papers).
    
    Yvonne Brock - 2003 Conference committee activities
    Yvonne spoke of the efforts of the 2003 conference committee - making up 500 'show bags' (very popular - all taken); the song and dance group skit (written by Mary) was presented - and a display re the conference and Brisbane. The theme will be Bridging Services - Embracing Reality. T-shirts with logo were worn.

Meeting was finalised with a demonstration of Laughter Yoga, as presented at the conference by Grant Stone of Murdoch University.

Next meetings
The next executive meeting will be held on 8 October at the Jazzy Cat.
The next general meeting will be held on Tuesday 6 November at the State Library. Proposed topic will be marketing your library.
