ALIA Victorian Information Organisers provide a forum for discussion of issues of interest to professionals involved in the organising of information of all kinds, and facilitates exchange of ideas between all these, including indexing, records and knowledge management, archiving, metadata and web content management.
Promotes best practice in service delivery, and lobbies governments and other organisations on issues of relevance. Planned activities include workshops and talks (mainly in or around Melbourne) and the national cataloguing conference.
