'Leadership' does sound more appropriate to me, as a term to describe what an IL co-ordinator might do. Again, I don't know if it would work on our campus (32 000) because of the wide range of libraries, and the fact that each library instructs to its own drummer, as it were. I'm still not clear on how or what it is your do regarding the implementation of IL policy. This is the dilemma. Here, we might suggest new ideas or methodology, but no one librarian is obligated to implement anything suggested by the InfoLit Team, including assessment. --- I agree with Linden that assessment and evaluation are important. The time constraints listed below often preclude any detailed assessment. I think the presence of a BI Librarian, devoted to instruction and evaluation and assessment, might alleviate the resistance to taking on evaluation and assessment projects.
