Special and local activity

HLA is a national group of ALIA. Regional, state and special interest groups may also form within ALIA structures, or may operate unofficially. For instance ALIA Health SA has formed officially, whilst professional development events in other states are organised by members on an unofficial basis.

Significant opportunities exist to form special interest groups within HLA as the REBLs ...with a cause SIG has done in 2007. That’s Rehabilitation Evidence Based Librarians of course.
