Thursday, 4 March 2004 at Caboolture Public Library The convenor spoke at a meeting of Young People's Librarians' group at the State Library, West End on 17 February 2004. The convenor attended the ALIA Regional National Policy Congress Meeting on 2 September 2004. The Executive Committee met monthly. Group communicationThe group communicates via a listserv Libraries for Lifelong Learning list. There are currently 165 list members, up from 150 in December 2003. ActivitiesThe committee developed a brochure outlining the Six guiding principles for cross-sectoral cooperation with the assistance of the University of Queensland Cybrary. This brochure was launched at the School Library Association of Queensland conference held at the Gold Coast in July by Dr Chris Perry from the Faculty of Education, Deakin University. Copies of the brochure were left at the ALIA stand at the ALIA conference, held at the Gold Coast in September. The Committee wrote to all principal stakeholders in the library and education sectors in Queensland promoting the six guiding principles and enclosing a copy of the brochure. A seminar is being organised in partnership with the School Library Association of Queensland Brisbane Subcommittee. It will be held in June 2005 at Hillbrook Anglican School, Enoggera. Financial reportExpenditure for 2004 totalled $40.00, being for gifts, cards and postage. This money was recouped from ALIA. Proposed activities for 2005The convenor submitted the following Proposed Activities and Budget to ALIA in October.
