Executive planning meeting for seminar

Present: Anne Spelman, Margaret Kittson, Loris Phair

Agenda:

Item 1: Business arising from last meeting.

1. Anne reported that Alan Bundy has confirmed. The invoice is to be sent on via Margaret to ALIA for payment.
2. Publicity flyer ready to go - can be sent electronically to those interested. Sent to Newslib and Discussion lists: cysalia , OZTLNET, yplib, QLDTL.
   
   '21 June' as RSVP needs to be added.
   
   Those responding will be asked to supply a 'snail mail' address so we can post pre-conf. notes. Anne will e-mail flyer to Loris for distribution and one to Alan Bundy along with an invitation to dinner with exec on the Thursday evening prior to conf.
   
   Anne to send e-mail reminding participants to bring book week ideas along with a favourite book for booktalking session.
3. Reminder to Executive committee re Biography note for cysalia
4. Booktalking presenters: Loris to contact Kerry Mallan (done)
   Anne to contact Shane Purse, Laney Robinson to be asked to suggest a public librarian.
5. Promotional tables. Loris brought in materials sent from ALIA for inclusion. Marg to contact Judy Russell for CBC input, Booktalkers, SLAQ reps and CSU publications also to be asked if they want to contribute. Loris to follow-up. Exec to gather suitable professional resources for display. Eg: list of author/illustrator contacts etc.

Item 2: Scenario creation session.
Anne and Loris worked on some ideas to use for focus group sessions.
