AGM scheduled for 20 October 4:45pm. (to coincide with Booktalkers event). Tentative agenda:

  3. Election of office-bearers
  4. Strategic planning for up-coming events; format, timing, content.

Item 6.
Forward planning for 2002

Action
Suggestion that the CYS activities and event's 'signature' to be two mini-conferences, held at PLD, one in each semester. ProFusion feedback suggests an on-going interest in two areas;

  1. Childrens' writing and getting published. Perhaps an event with a QWC member as keynote speaker and/or Leonie Tyle from UQP. Writing competitions, web publishing, 'From reader to writer'?
  2. Teens and reading, boys and books, girls and literacy (including computer lit), non-fiction reading. Talking books and audio literature. Practical strategies to promote reading, 'Power on with the reading'?

Suggestions to be raised at AGM

Meeting closed at 4:30pm
