Have a lucky draw to select the winner OR ask entrants to say why they liked the cover and what it might be about and judge the winner on the best reason.
* Make characters from old shoes (inspired by Schumann the Shoeman by Stella Danalis)
* Crossword relating to themes within each book
* Find book titles in a find-a-word or crossword
* Write your own story to cross the bridge
* Name and illustrate five books that helped them cross the story bridge on their way to becoming readers.
* Poster design competition.
