ALIA Academic, Research and Collection Management [arcom]

ALIA Academic, Research, Collection Management is a national group representing the needs and professional interests of staff in academic and research libraries.

We are interested in investigating new initiatives and developments in the provision of information in academic and research libraries. We also have a special interest in the promotion of technical services and collection management issues.

Our events are designed to contribute to member's professional development, alert them to new innovations and applications, and provide members with an opportunity to network and share experiences. We regularly hold library tours and evening seminars. We also collaborate with other ALIA groups such as InfoSci(SA) to put on events.

ARCoM maintain an e‑list to keep our members up‑to‑date with the latest news and upcoming events.

Our current committee comes from a variety of libraries in South Australia ‑ Flinders University, NCVER, DSTO and the University of Adelaide to name a few. New committee members are always welcome so if you are interested, please contact ARCoM's convenor.
