The Melbourne Asian Research Libraries Consortium now has its own site. Formed in 1993 between the University of Melbourne and Monash University, MARLC provides enhanced access to their Asian collections.

Among a number of other interesting purchases, the East Asian Collection's excellent collection of books about the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923 has been augmented by purchases to the value of $23 000 last year. (Bick-har Yeung)
