6.1 2004 Budget
Deadline is 1 October 2003. Camille to prepare a budget based on the programme suggested below.
6.2 CPD - Alternative Options
Jeanette suggested having a central listing (ie Biblia) of all CPD events from other groups to which people could refer and that all other groups be contacted to ensure that all events are listed. Camille pointed out that it is difficult to get other groups to pass this information on - she has to look for information about events to put these into Diary Dates in Biblia.
In response to a suggestion from a librarian in Derby for events that Public Librarians could attend, Camille will contact the State Library for the dates of Country Library weeks and will disseminate this information to other groups with a request that they consider these dates when scheduling events.
2004 CPD
Camille has developed a possible programme:
- February Icebreaker: Library visit, social function, inexpensive nibbles and drinks.
- March Professional Reading Group
- April Workshop - Roberta Cowan - bibliographic software (Endnote)
- May Library and Information Week - Awards
- June AGM (new committee needed) - dinner afterwards
- July Professional Reading Group
- August Terena Solomons - Myers-Briggs workshop (minimum number required)
- October Seminar Topic: Careers - perhaps in conjunction with the WA Mentoring Group and with GuMPers in mind. Ideas for talks - current trends in labour market
Camille will contact Georgina re membership surveys of perceived CPD needs.
6.3 Infowest
Infowest database not yet moved from Arachnet to ALIA website and we may need to pay for another three months. The database needs to be advertised to all users and potential users and they must also be advised of the impending move, via WAIN, ALIAWest and Biblia. Jeanette to do.
- Meeting closed at 7:05pm.

Next meeting to be held Tuesday 21 October 2003 at 5:30pm in Room 2.9 of the Alexander Library Building, State Library Western Australia.
