Minutes of ALIA West meeting held Tuesday 15 July 2003 at 5:30pm in Room 2.9 Alexander Library Building, State Library of WA

5. Reports
   5.1 Treasurer's report
   Report from WA Forum tabled.
   KISWA Report held over - Balance as at June 2003 is $443.50.
   5.2 Continuing Professional Development
   As yet, no volunteers for CPD committee. Lorraine Bradshaw has offered help for special projects.
   'Do you look like a librarian?' 12 attendees enjoyed a very successful function. Thanks to Lisa Wright and helpers.
   The CPD function planned for 21 July marks the end of the current CPD program.
   5.3 Biblia report
   The July issue has been issued. Maureen Cooper to provide article for August issue. Camille suggested that conveners of all ALIA groups in WA be encouraged to take turns to contribute an article.
   5.4 Awards
   Carried over.
   5.5 @ Your Library Marketing Campaign
   Campaign is well advanced and plans for further fundraising are in place.
   
   
6. Other business
   6.1 Archiving
   Jeanette Hill has contacted David Whiteford at Battye regarding the archiving of KISWA and WA Forum documents. She will e-mail a letter detailing archiving protocol to committee members. Rose to list contents of boxes in her possession. Past committee lists to be collated.
   Linda Simonis is organising WA Forum records for handing over.
   6.2 Final Reports
   Jeanette has completed KISWA report, Belinda to do WA Forum's.
   6.3 ALIA West List
   Camille has successfully transported ALIA Biblia mailing list to ALIAWest list. 6.4 Mars Society Breakfast
   Maureen has organised this breakfast to take place on August 19. The speaker will be Dr Vadim Gushin.
   
   
7. Meeting closed at 7:05pm.
   Meetings to be held on 3rd Tuesday in each month.
