  5. Reports
    5.1: Convenor's report
    5.1.1: Activity focussed on organising National Policy Congress regional meeting for WA. Six of the seven West Australian groups will be represented. Under discussion will be:
    5.1.2: Convenor is participating in south west forum. She is presenting lobbying skills workshop and participating in a panel discussion with the minister for arts and culture and director public library services.

    5.1.3: Convenor announced incoming secretary is Belinda Grayson. Outgoing secretary Bonnie Rae Bruce is off to Morawa for 12 months.
    5.2: Treasurer's report
    Balance = $2.60
    Await previous treasurer's last petty cash claim
    Outstanding = $353.54

    5.3 Continuing professional development co-ordinator's report
    5.3.1: Phil Teece is in Perth next Wednesday, 18 September to talk about industrial relations. Venue is Villa Italia. Maximum number of participants is 40.

    5.3.2: Jeanette Hill is organising the next the professional reading group meeting for October.

    5.3.3: Bobbie thanked Camille Peters on her work on the PRG. There has been a lively discourse from a devoted group.

    5.3.4: There will be no seminar this year as south west forum is being partly-supported by WA Forum.

    5.4: Biblia report
    5.4.1: Only six copies of Biblia are being mailed to members. Battye gets a copy for legal deposit.

    5.4.2: Cut off date for copy now 25th of the month.

    5.4.3: Advertising on ALIAnet to be clarified. AR to action
  6. Other business
    6.1: Convenor thanked Bonnie Rae Bruce for her contribution to WA Forum, her lively wit, on time agendas and quality minutes with which she has supported us for the life of the Forum. We wish Bonnie well and are sure Morawa will find an able community officer bearer extraordinaire.

    6.2: Meetings have been moved to the 2nd Tuesday of each month. State Library Room 2.9 has been booked.

    6.3: Treasurer to prepare a budget with help from other office-bearers. Office-bearers to bring ideas to next meeting.

    6.4: Convenor called for an Annual General Meeting to be held 6:00pm Tuesday 19 December 2002 at the Brass Monkey Brasserie. Nominations will be sought for the following positions:

    Library and Information Week co-ordinator
