Similar to last report, ALIA has not sent any new activity statement out, cheque from Kondinnon has arrived, balance of account is $19 037.63.
5.3 CPD report:
5.3.1 October 17 event, now have 20 RSVPS.
5.3.2 Copyright and Contract - Professional Reading Group. Publicity will be pushed this week.
5.3.3 Registrations for Leadership Seminar - Linda Simonis to take registrations - approved by Trudy.
5.4 Biblia:
5.4.1 Biblia on ALIA website. work is continuing hoping to have November's issue of Biblia on website.
5.4.2 Biblia List - too many bounce backs so Alethea will unsubscribe every one and send message to WAIN for people to resubscribe if they want. Message will go on WA Forum web page as well.
- General business
6.1 Central TAFE - talk to students - Marilyn Graham (lecturer in Library Studies ) has asked for someone from ALIA to come and talk about CPD. Bonnie to write something, Eilishia to comment, Bonnie to deliver talk to Marilyn.
Action item for Bonnie - write CPD talk, contact Marilyn.
6.2 Alan Bundy is interested in visiting WA.
Suggested event the next Ice Breaker? Could be opportunity for WA groups to promote themselves? Members to have a think and make suggestions at next meeting.
6.3 WA Library Technicians Group - regional conference Sept 2002
WA Library Technicians Group are interested in holding a regional mini-conference/weekend workshop in Bunbury in Sept 2002. Would like to work with SWeLL and WA Forum to run it. Good opportunity to support members in South West. Brainstorming meeting to be held at OBH , 14 September 1:00pm.
