Transforming Information and Learning Conference 2006

30 September 2006

Conference Overview
The theme for the 2nd Transforming Information and Learning Conference (TILC) is Making and Keeping Connections.

In a global knowledge economy dominated by the Web and online access, where information can be fluid, easily transformed and hidden, transparent connections between information agencies and repositories is essential. Establishing and maintaining strong professional links, shared networks, collections and educational programs will enable both students and whole communities the access to information required for participation in our increasingly complex and rapidly changing global community.

The overarching theme for the 2nd Transforming Information and Learning conference reflects the significant connections that exist between technology, information, information agencies, schools, libraries and learning.
