ALIAWest end of year breakfast

On a clear and cool Thursday morning, 36 librarians and library technicians congregated together at the Chifley on the Terrace, to partake in a delicious continental breakfast including bacon, sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms. During the breakfast guest speaker Richard Sayers from CAVAL enlightened us on what the company was about and on how the training organisation can help us in the information industry.

A business card competition was held by which business cards were randomly placed among the tables. The prizes were vouchers for $100.00 off a CAVAL training course. The winners were Angela Campo, Annette Carter, Sharon Coppin, David Daw-Smith, Linden Hadrys and Kellie Smith. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to Richard for providing the vouchers.

A big thank you also to Jeanette Hill on organising the breakfast and a thankyou to the conference committee for changing the date of their meeting to enable members to attend the breakfast.
