Jill has worked in both state government and the private sector and has been employed in a records management environment since 1998, working in the position of co-ordinator: corporate information of the State Library of Western Australia. She then commenced working at Curtin University Library in the business division. Kylie began working in the music and performing arts team in the state reference library in May 2002 as a part-time librarian, and continued to work part-time at Curtin. At the end of the year, she began working in the social sciences team, where she is responsible for the map collection. Kylie's major achievement to date has been her contribution to MusicAustralia, a nation-wide music digitisation project, and as a result of this, she has presented papers at the International Association of Music Librarians (Aust Branch) conference at the national library in Sept 2004, and most recently, lunchtime talks about digitisation at the State Library of WA. Kylie is actively involved in professional development activities through ALIA and International Association of Music Librarians. Kylie received her framed finalists certificate at an afternoon tea held at the state library on Tuesday 28 June. Jeanette Hill (please remove '.nospam' from address), ALIAWest |
