Michaela Shepherdson
Michaela was awarded the Bacheor of Science in Library Technology at Edith Cowan University in 2004. Michaela has been involved in the WA Library Technicians Group, gaining a student grant to go to the 2003 Library Technicians Conference and helped organise their weekend seminar in New Norcia last year.
Currently a technician for the resources and access unit at the Curtin University Library and Information Service, Michaela has contributed greatly to digitising theses for the Australian Digital Theses database project. She has also submitted an abstract to present a paper about the project at the Next 2005 conference in Sydney.
Michaela's future objectives are to start Honours in Library Technology, followed by further post graduate study in the library and information field, and to participate in future ALIA conferences.
We congratulate Michaela on winning the technicians award for 2004 and wish her every success in her career.
