Announcing LocLib

LocLib is the new name for the Local Government Librarian's Association of Western Australia (formerly WALGLA) and is your conduit to information on public libraries in WA.

Our new logo will be launched soon.

LocLib's role is:

  • Advocacy and lobbying
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Professional development
  • Fostering relationships between state and local government

LocLib has a committee that meets bi-monthly and general meetings for the LocLib membership are held every other month. There are four sub-committees working on key directions for 2005/2006. The sub-committees are strategic planning, marketing, social and fundraising and professional development.

If you are a library student and/or work in public libraries, you can become a member for only $20.00 and have your say about the things that matter in public libraries wherever you live in the state.
