An event not to miss in 2006...

The ALIA 2006 Biennial Conference is to be held at the new Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 19 - 21 September 2006. A new and exciting venue in Perth, the centre is WA's largest and only purpose built convention and meeting centre and, come September next year, will be filled to the brim with information professionals, key stakeholders and maybe a few surprises.

The theme for next year's conference deliberately challenges the norm; it plays with words and sounds, and asks you to think about the library profession's roles and responsibilities in coming years.

The theme is deliberately broad and dynamic and can mean anything that you like! The conference program, tours, satellite events and the social extravaganza will be full of diversity and challenge, playfulness, vibrancy and colour - a little bit of something for everyone and every sector.
