ALIAWest christmas breakfast
ALIAWest celebrated an early start to the festive session when its traditional end-of-year christmas breakfast was held at the Chifley Hotel on 1 December. Approximately 40 Western Australian information professionals attended from numerous industry sectors, including those from state and local government, school, mining, legal, health and academic libraries. In what proved to be a busy week for ALIAWest, Jane Edinger, ALIAWest's hard-working convenor was stricken with the flu and unable to leave her sickbed for the occasion. The show went on, of course - new members were welcomed, networks and friendships were renewed and new ones were forged. It was a pleasure to see so many new and familiar faces celebrate the passing of another positive and productive year and ALIAWest extends its best wishes to all for 2005.
