July 2004

From the editor

This month's issue of Biblia is a virtural cornucopia of achievements by ALIA members (and others). As well we have provided a feast of events to reflect on (such as the WA Library Technicians New Norcia Weekend Workshop) or flag for attendance, (such as the Annual New Norcia Library Lecture) so join me in celebrating our vibrant library and information community.

You will notice this month there are less diary dates. As editors we have decided not to advertise training events organised by commercial training providers in Diary Dates. Should any commercial training providers wish to advertise their events in Biblia we will provide space in the main part of Biblia for a reasonable fee. At the moment Camille, the previous editor of Biblia has kindly agreed to continue to produce our 'Diary Dates' column. This situation may not continue, so if you are a member of an ALIA or Library and Information related group and you wish your event to be advertised in Biblia, please contact me direct, and I will ensure the event is listed in diary dates.
