As a reminder of who is currently serving on ALIA committees I have included a list of office-bearers and committee members from WA in this issue. The list is as comprehensive and accurate as I could make it but I cannot guarantee that it is 100 per cent correct as, despite working in an information profession, the task of keeping Vital Link up to date seems a relatively low priority for some ALIA committees. I have indicated vacancies for ALIA West and it seems ironic that in the year of the @ Your Library campaign there is no one on the Library and Information Week committee. We are committed to serving the community, however narrowly or broadly defined, in our jobs but are we serving our profession when so few are actively involved in their professional association?
