The list is intended for those people working in the library and information profession in Western Australia.

The list has three primary purposes.

1. To allow dissemination of information about events of interest to members of the profession.
   
   
2. To discuss issues that are of interest to a broad cross section of the profession.
   
   
3. To advertise positions that have become available.
