ACTive ALIAproACTiveNumber 241: February 2004Events for November and beyondRSVP? It means what it says. Sometimes organisers of an event MUST know what numbers to expect. If they request an 'RSVP' and you plan to attend, please oblige them. Monday 9 February, 2:30pm. PEARLS meeting at the BOOKPLATE at NLA. Anyone with library connections who has retired (or is about to retire) is welcome to join our informal group to enjoy delicious refreshments and conversation. George Miller will report on his trip last November to Flores, Eastern Indonesia where he is involved with the NTA (Nusa Tenggara Association) in community development projects. Amelia McKenzie will talk about her trip to Japan to give a paper at a conference last November in Osaka. Jill Haynes will report on her six months in 2003 in Dili working mainly in the Library of National University of Timor (UNTL). All are welcome. No bookings required.
