Making the difference: ALIA National Policy Congress 2002
The National Policy Congress is an important consultative mechanism to ensure that members have input into the policy-making process of the Association.
The 2002 National Policy Congress is being held in two stages:
- Stage 1: Regional meetings have been held. All groups were invited to send one delegate to the closest regional meeting.
- Stage 2: One representative selected at each regional meeting will attend the National Policy Congress to be held at ALIA House, in Canberra, on 2 November 2002.
The focus for the National Policy Congress 2002 will be on policy and issues relating to the Library and Information Sector as a whole. This is a departure from the previous two National Policy Congresses, which focussed on the internal restructuring of, and priorities for, ALIA.
