Events for September and beyond

- Thursday 13 September. Library Technicians. 3-course dinner to make up for our losing Cool Yule! 7:00pm for 7:30pm at the CIT Restaurant, cost $20.00. Get together after the conference and relive good times and experiences or if you didn't go to the conference hear about some of the happenings. Friends/partners are welcome. - Tuesday 18 September. URLs ACT: Information Literacy in Practice in the University (see p3). Lisa Bradley (Life Sciences, ANU), and Julie McGorm (Information Services, ACU) will present case studies of curriculum-integrated information literacy programs. 4:30pm-6:00pm, Lower Ground Floor Seminar Room, Chifley Library ANU. - Saturday 22 September. Back to the National Library event. A reunion event for former staff/council members of the National Library of Australia, Canberra. Join us to celebrate your contribution in the year of the Library's 100th anniversary! National Library of Australia, Foyer, 5:30pm. $10.00 per person (includes drinks and canapes). - Sunday 23 September. National Library of Australia. Open Day: join staff and friends of the National Library at our Open Day. Take a tour of areas normally hidden from view, explore our special collections areas, catch a film, reading or performance. There will be lots to see and do for everyone! 10:00am-4:00pm. APSIG is organising one of its popular lunchtime talks again, with travellers' tales from our colleagues who have been out and about in our region, meeting people and attending conferences. 12:30pm-1:30 pm, NLA 4th Floor Conference Room.
