ALIA Health Libraries Australia

The vision of Health Libraries Australia is to promote, inform, unite, influence, and innovate libraries and information professionals in the health and biomedical sector. In support of this vision, and in line with ALIA's policy direction and priorities, HLA will undertake strategic initiatives in five key areas (portfolios): professional development; research and development; networking and collaboration; advocacy; and promotion.

HLA News - Latest Edition

HLA 2012 professional development day will be held in conjunction with the ALIA Biennial in Sydney, 10 July 2012. For more information, please see the professional development day website. The final program will be available in April and registrations ARE NOW OPEN. Click here for the registration form.

Australian EBP Librarians' Institute residential seminar at the Department of Health, Darwin NT, 3 – 7 September 2012

The cost for hotel accommodation, food, local travel, administration and tuition will be $1,350 each. Participants would need to organise their own travel to and from Darwin.

The final report of the Health Librarianship Workforce and Education project is now available. Implementation of recommendations is underway in 2012.
