ALIA planning 2007

Introduction

To meet the Association's objects, our core values and the vision for the Association as expressed in ALIA towards 2010 the Board of Directors has identified five major priorities for ALIA for 2007:

  1. Membership growth through retaining existing members and attracting new members
  2. Empower and support ALIA groups
  3. Provide leadership in professional education and workforce planning
  4. Ensure good governance and management of the Association
  5. Financial sustainability, including a financial plan for ALIA.

The Board is seeking comment and feedback from members on the priorities. In particular the Board would like comments on how members can be involved in and contribute to the first three priorities. Priorities four and five are the primary responsibility of the Board.

The discussion paper will be the basis for the 2006 regional National Advisory Congress (NAC) meetings during July and August 2006. The Board also welcomes comments from advisory and reference groups, self-nominating groups and individual members.
