4.5 Implement mechanisms for dialogue and co-operation between educators, employers and practitioners

  • A program based on ALIA's education framework facilitates dialogue and co-operation between educators, employers and practitioners
  • ALIA's education statements revised and linked to the education framework
  • The co-ordinated CPD program is developed and implemented
  • Workshops covering key practice areas, such as acquisition of online resources
  • Programs and workshops are delivered in regions in response to demand
  • A range of mentoring programs is in place, appropriate to different needs across all states and territories and accessible for members in regional and remote areas
  • Opportunities for members to pursue structured career-long learning
  • Improved practice that benefits employers and the sector
  • The standard of formal education for practice is maintained and enhanced
  • The professional knowledge and skills that are needed are identified and promoted
  • Acceptance of ALIA's career-long education framework by educators and employers (through feedback from employers and members)
