Is your library in the Australian Libraries Gateway?
The Australian Libraries Gateway (ALG) portal is a valuable tool for special libraries. Developed by the , the ALG is a free directory with on more than 5,000 Australian libraries, their collections and services.
The ALG libraries have password access to update or amend details about themselves, their services and collections. Suggested uses of ALG include:
- find a library's contact details
- find a library by sector or subject
- use subject gateways
- explore a collection policy
- promote your library
- add your library!

Committee Meetings
Teleconferences January - February 2011
- main focus is the final report of the Special Libraries survey for the ALIA Board. Once the report has been approved by the Board the findings will be distributed to the special libraries sector
- the Committee will use the findings from the Special Libraries survey to create facts and figures advocacy publications
- creation of a PD subcommittee to investigate PD events to compliment the Specials stream at biennial conferences
