• New release from LexisNexis: "Best Practices for Government Libraries 2009 : change : managing it, surviving it and thriving on it". This was compiled by Marie Kaddell and includes 60 articles and submissions from librarians in government agencies, courts, defence and professional association leaders.

• SLA 2009 Conference: SLA has made freely available online handouts and presentation files from the June 2009 SLA Conference.
• A "Government 2.0" taskforce was launched by the Hon Lindsay Tanner MP on Monday 22 June 2009. The taskforce is chaired by Dr Nicholas Gruen and will be looking at openess of government and online engagement. Read more at the Government 2.0 taskforce blog.
