ALIA Research CommitteeTerms of referencePurposeThe Australian Library and Information Association is the peak body for the advancement of the library and information profession in Australia. The Association recognises the importance of fostering research which underpins innovation and the improvement of library and information practice. The research committee is established:
MembershipThe committee will comprise no less than five members, the majority of whom are suitably-qualified to assess the relevant area of research. The committee may co-opt further expertise as required. Terms of officeMembers will be normally appointed for up to three years. Members may not serve more than two consecutive terms. CommunicationThe committee will meet at least once per year, electronically or face-to-face as required. The committee shall report as required on matters referred by the Board of Directors. The committee may refer matters of interest or concern to the Board of Directors for consideration. ReviewThe committee shall be subject to the review requirements of the ALIA Board of Directors at least once every two years. SecretariatALIA National Office will provide secretarial support. |
