ALIA interlibrary lending expert advisory groupTerms of referencePurposeThe committee is to advise the Board of Directors on interlibrary lending and resource sharing policy and practice matters of interest and concern to members and on the development of policy statements or documents relating to interlibrary lending and resource sharing. These matters include:
MembershipMembership shall comprise members of the Association with expertise in interlibrary lending and resource sharing policy and/or practice. The committee shall have no more than seven members and will include the executive director or the executive director's delegate. The committee may co-opt expertise as needed in particular areas and which is not available through its members. The group may elect a convenor from within its membership. Terms of officeMembers will be appointed for two-year terms except where the Board seeks to establish an overlap of terms it may appoint members for less than two years. Members may not serve more than two consecutive terms. CommunicationThe committee shall meet electronically or face-to-face as needed, but at least once a year. The committee shall report as required on matters referred by Board of Directors. The committee may refer matters of interest or concern to the Board of Directors for consideration. ReviewThe committee shall be subject to the committee review requirements of the Board of Directors. SecretariatALIA National Office will provide secretariat support. |
