  • The Board endorsed the change of name of the ALIA Government Publications Advisory Committee to the ALIA Public Sector Information Advisory Committee to more closely align to current terminology
  • The Board discussed course recognition and recognised its importance in maintaining professional standards
  • The ALIA Research & Publishing Standing Committee presented the Publishing Action Plan report and the Board endorsed its recommendations
  • The Board congratulated the two conference committees, ALIA Information Online and the ALIA New Librarians Symposium (NSL4), for the countless hours they volunteered and the very successful conference outcomes
  • The Board thanked Derek Whitehead for his valuable contribution and his wise counsel during his year as ALIA President
  • The Board thanked the two retiring Directors: Damian Lodge and Katy Watson
  • The Board welcomed Graham Black as ALIA Vice-president (President-elect) and the two new directors, Gillian Hallam and Kate Sinclair
